How We Got Started
Discount Tire and Auto Repair LLC was founded in 2010 by Rafael Mendez — a lifelong wrench who got fed up watching neighbors leave chain tire shops with inflated quotes for work they never needed. He opened a single-bay garage on Scenic Rd with one rule: tell the customer the truth, charge a fair price, and stand behind every job.
Word spread fast. Within a few years, that one bay grew into a full-service shop handling everything from tire installs to alignments, brakes, and fleet work. Today our team of ASE-certified technicians serves Tallahassee and the surrounding communities — and nearly every new customer still walks in because a friend, neighbor, or coworker sent them.
